Reservation terms.
How reservations will work when they open — and what they will never be.
Not yet open
Reservations are not yet open, and nothing on this site takes money today. This page is published in advance so the terms are known before the first dollar ever moves.
The deposit
A Genie reservation will be a deposit of $100, paid once. It will hold a place in the Genie queue, in the order reservations are received.
A queue position, not a purchase
A reservation will not be a purchase of a Genie, not an ownership interest, not an investment, and not a security. It will not entitle the holder to earnings of any kind. It is a place in line, nothing more.
Refunds before pricing is published
Until the day final pricing is published, a reservation will be refundable in full — 100%, at any time, with one click, no questions asked. Refunds will be self-serve: no one at Element 31 will need to approve one, and no one will ask why.
After pricing is published
When the final price, the full specifications, and measured performance are published, reservation holders will get the first right to confirm a purchase at the published price — or to take an instant refund of the deposit. Either way, the choice is the holder’s. There will be no scenario in which the deposit is kept without a confirmed purchase.
No date is promised
Genie is in development. No delivery date, ship window, or availability timeline is promised by this site — and no date is promised for reservations opening, either.
No earnings are promised
Genie owners will be paid when — and only when — the computing work their machine performs is actually sold. Earnings will depend entirely on real customer demand. Nothing on this site, and nothing about a reservation, is a projection or a promise of earnings or financial return.
The processor of record
Reservations will be handled by an established payment processor, which will be named on this page before reservations open. Receipts, refunds, and payment details will live with that processor under its own terms and privacy policy; this website itself will collect and store nothing.
Changes
This page describes intended terms and may be refined before reservations open; the version in force when they open will be posted here. If these terms ever change materially while you hold a reservation, you will keep the right to an immediate full refund.
